Content Creation Strategy

Revit

The problem. In 2018 SSG had no shared way to make Revit content. Every project reinvented the naming, the parameters and the level of detail, so no two families behaved alike in a model.

What I built. The standard. What a family is named, which parameters it carries and in which group, how much geometry is enough, how materials get assigned, what gets nested and what does not. Then the first families built against it, across the whole range we sell, a lab gas valve at one end and a room-sized high-density shelving system at the other.

That standard is why the three projects after it exist. Fetch can insert a family in one click because every family is built the same way. Cipher can hold one record per product because the parameters have fixed names. pySSG can score a family because there is something to score it against.
